An honest map
The colors reflect our current sourced collection, not the richness of any region's actual history. A red region is a gap in our record, and a promise of where we are headed. The work that fills it follows two tracks: open-archive research, and, for Indigenous and third-gender histories, work done only in partnership with community knowledge-holders.
