forward thinkingThe South Coast LGBTQ+ Network partnered with UMass Dartmouth's Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality, the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center, SSTAR of Fall River, and many other organizations to present the region's first-ever South Coast World AIDS Day Conference on December 1. The event examined the past, present, and future of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, with exhibits and presentations from some of the area’s leading authorities on HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and treatment.

2. Enable a whole-body approach to combatting the disease, including comprehensive mental health treatment. |
3. Educate healthcare professionals about the specific healthcare needs of younger people, older adults, and trans and nonbinary individuals. |
3. Enable access to related HIV/AIDS services such as needle exchanges and housing for the homeless. |
