trans rights are human rights

 In Massachusetts and elsewhere, transgender and nonbinary people experience significantly higher levels of mental and physical health issues, discrimination, homeless, and poverty than do non-LGBTQ+ individuals. Furthermore, our current government has been aggressively taking steps to isolate and erase the 1.4 million Americans who identify as transgender or nonbinary and to end legal protections previously guaranteed under civil rights law. The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network works with area trans- and nonbinary-oriented organizations to support this marginalized group in its quest for health, happiness, and equal rights.

We dedicate this page to the memory of our beloved friend and colleague Joan M. Stratton (1951-2021).
