Pride came back in 2021 with a flourish! With a exciting mix of in-person and online events, we brought a little something for everyone. Together we shared the joy of watching movies with "Beyond the Binary," a Cinema New Bedford series The Network sponsored with the Zeiterion. We appreciated the work of local-area LGBTQ+ artists at the "Kaleidoscope: Art Through Your Eyes" presentation at Gallery X in New Bedford. There were wellness events, a Drag Queen Story Hour... and so much more.
the zeiterion performing arts centers reopens with "beyond the Binary"
Zeiterion Performing Arts Center is pleased to introduce Cinema New Bedford, a new weekly series of films that spark conversation, Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. starting June 1. In partnership with New Bedford Film Society and curated by Mocha James Herrup, PhD, the series will be available in person with social distancing or via streaming. “Beyond the Binary,” which is produced in partnership with The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network, features playful, joyous, and sometimes genre-defying films from the gender frontier. Each film will be followed by a post-show discussion to promote understanding and connection.
