An Evening of Celebration, and Impact.
The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network is honored to present Gregory Maguire, internationally bestselling author of Wicked, as the featured guest for our premier fundraising event, Down the Yellow Brick Road: An Evening with Gregory Maguire.
Gregory Maguire is best known for Wicked, the groundbreaking novel that reimagined the world of Oz and inspired the award winning Broadway phenomenon that has captivated audiences around the globe. His body of work spans numerous novels for adults and young readers, often revisiting familiar stories through a bold and imaginative lens. His writing explores themes of identity, power, belonging, and moral complexity, making him one of the most influential contemporary storytellers of our time.
Down the Yellow Brick Road is the South Coast LGBTQ+ Network’s largest and most significant fundraising event of the year. This elevated evening brings together corporate partners, business leaders, and philanthropic supporters who are committed to sustaining and expanding LGBTQ+ programming across the South Coast.
Proceeds from the event directly support the Network’s year round services, including youth programming, educational initiatives, advocacy efforts, health and wellness resources, and community building work that serves individuals and families throughout the region.
In addition, supporters may participate in our Commemorative Brick Campaign. Personalized bricks will be permanently displayed at the Network’s new Community Center in New Bedford, creating a lasting and visible symbol of commitment to inclusive services and programming.
