On February 1, 2006, the Puzzles Lounge in New Bedford was the site of a violent attack that forever changed lives in our community. Twenty years later, we come together to honor those impacted, uplift the resilience of our LGBTQ+ community, and recommit ourselves to a future rooted in safety, dignity, and love.
This vigil is a moment of remembrance, reflection, and unity. It is also a reminder that visibility matters, community matters, and standing together matters.
A candlelight vigil honoring survivors and those affected.
A space for quiet reflection and shared remembrance, community, connection, and support.
A reception to continue gathering together in solidarity.
Together, we remember. Together, we honor. Together, we rise.
This event is hosted by the South Coast LGBTQ+ Network. All are welcome. Allies, friends, family, and community members are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know needs support, the South Coast LGBTQ+ Network is here for you today and every day.
